The Macula Society is Now Accepting New Member Applications

The Macula Society New Member Application Portal is now open, and applications for membership will be accepted through September 23, 2026.

Founded in 1977, the Macula Society is dedicated to advancing research and scholarship in macular and retinal vascular diseases. Membership is by application and recognizes ophthalmologists who have demonstrated significant clinical and scholarly contributions to the field.

Prospective members must meet the Society’s eligibility requirements, which include completion of a posterior segment fellowship, at least three years of post-fellowship practice, recent first- or corresponding-author publications in posterior segment disease, and letters of recommendation from two active Macula Society members.
